Astro-Physics Super Planetary Refractor by pecooper98362

Super Planetary Refractor manufactured by Astro-Physics of Machesney Park, Illinois, USA, which uses a G11 Equatorial Mount from Losmandy of Los Angeles, California, USA, installed in Kopernik Observatory & Science Center in Vestal, New York. There was a good turnout, the numbers swelled by a busload of Cub Scouts and Webelos, but that meant that time was limited on the big scopes. They had set out a nice lower powered scope on the lawn which was focused on Saturn. The rings were clearly visible. The International Space Station went over, which caused a big crowd to form outside. Much oohing and ahhing and ouching because of stepped on feet; it was very dark. We also got a foretaste of the Perseid Meteor swarm, with a dozen, or so, shooting stars.
